What is automated BIM verification and validation?
‘Verification’ often refers to the process of checking deliverables (output) against requirements (input), whilst ‘validation’ refers to the process of checking a digital deliverable (model) or physical outcome (built asset) for consistency and errors or against established requirements and standards.
As projects become more complex and more information is added into models, there is more data present in models than ever before and therefore a greater requirement to manage, verify and validate the data.
