We are committed to the continued professional development of our people. Our employees work as part of a team in a dynamic work place, where achievements are rewarded and progress is encouraged. Our priority is to develop our employees, in order to maximise team and individual contributions to company-wide objectives.
We believe that career satisfaction and progression are key to success, which is why we offer a variety of training and development opportunities to our employees.
BRE BIM Essentials
As part of the continued learning and development in Building Information Modelling (BIM), we enrol all of our technical staff onto the BRE BIM Essentials course, where participants will build upon and gain a solid grounding in BIM, including:
- An insight into processes
- A strong understanding and knowledge of the key principles of BIM Level 2
- An awareness of the emerging BuildingSmart international information standard
- Relevant knowledge and capabilities to achieve internationally recognised good practice
- Awareness of other international developments such as open BIM initiatives formed to facilitate interoperability
- An understanding of BIM from a whole life cycle perspective
We fully support the career paths of all of our team members. Individuals often wish to further their all-round technical knowledge and study professional qualifications outside of the business.
These courses are fully funded by the company and due to the part time nature of the training, students have mentors within the business and can utilise their learning in real situations.
Continued Professional Development
Our employees development is important to us, which is why we encourage proactivity within personal development, utilising regular appraisals to point out any additional training required, to improve skill sets and enhance the overall offering to clients.
We fully support our teams in making the right decisions for their career paths and provide the necessary guidance throughout all learning and training.
Waldeck subsidises each employee in order for them to have one membership subscription per year for their chosen professional institution, ensuring they have the support from professional bodies that ensure they can develop into an expert in their chosen career.
Waldeck advocates the Middlesex University BIM Management Course (MSc), which was the first of its kind in the world when it began in 2013.
Individuals with a passion for BIM and a desire to further their career in this field, will obtain a wealth of knowledge from lecturers, industry leaders and their fellow cohort right from the start across three key areas:
- Technical BIM Management
- Operational BIM Management
- Strategic BIM Management
Following successful completion, applicants will gain either a PgCert, Pg Dip or Msc depending upon course participation duration.
We are always looking for talented and ambitious people, who can help enhance our vision and drive our business forward. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact our Resourcing Team on 08450 990285.
