Client Brief
Waldeck were appointed to support the £22m Regeneration Scheme at Boots Headquarters campus in Nottingham for Nottingham Regeneration Ltd.
Scope of Services
We were employed to provide the following services:
- Project Management
- Civil and Structural Design Engineering
- Quantity Surveying
Our Solution
The works included demolition, site clearance and remediation of circa 20 hectares of land within two local authority areas and the construction of a new 1,800m long link road connecting Beeston with the A52 with associated foul and surface water infrastructure for future development.
The link road joins the existing highway infrastructure via a new road bridge over the Nottingham Grantham Canal to the east and a new roundabout junction to the west.
In addition to works to the proposed public infrastructure, significant accommodation works have been undertaken to the existing Boots infrastructure, including M&E and highway works (new campus main entrance).
Our Results
Further to this main body of work, Waldeck was appointed as part of the City Council’s project team to deliver a new footbridge over the main line railway. The bridge together with 1,500m of footway/cycleway will connect the Boots campus and the existing cycle/footway network adjacent to the canal with Nottingham University and the tram system.
We were also appointed by Boots to design and project manage the construction of two car parks providing in excess of 700 spaces
