Working on behalf of Wates, Waldeck were responsible for the full Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Design and additional technical support for site refurbishment works at HMP Warren Hill.
Our solution
Our Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Design team were responsible for the provision of new external heating mains and site infrastructure network and cabling around the site, new heating systems, new BMS, replacement fire and general alarms, and lightning protection upgrades throughout, new control room, and metalwork and woodwork shop fit outs.
Extensive detailed surveys were undertaken to fully document all locations and performance criteria of the existing heating installations. Our team then undertook detailed heat loss calculations using our own measured survey information to design a full new heating replacement system to meet the needs of the various construction materials of the existing structures.
