Bristol based Senior Technician, Ed Wells has committed to the ‘Ultimate’ Triathlon to raise money for Forever Hounds Trust, in memory of his lurcher, Luna.

Ed shares his story: “Forever Hounds Trust are the charity which I rehomed my dog Luna from eight years ago, as she started to slow down with old age I reflected on all the adventures we shared. Had it not been for the charity she would not have had a second chance at life, which I know we are both so grateful for.

“This promoted me to sign up for an event, raise money and do all the running she could no longer do. It is my first Ironman distance triathlon, in fact I have only ever done a sprint distance before. I had hoped Luna was going to be there at the finish line but sadly it will now be in her memory.”

Ed will endure the gruelling 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26 mile marathon to finish, all which must be completed within a cut off time of 17 hours, later this year on the 2nd June.
