On Tuesday 2nd September, Waldeck’s Nuclear team proudly hosted a charity cricket match at Wembdon Cricket Club in Bridgwater, raising funds in support of two incredible causes: Prostate Cancer UK and Destination Florida Children’s Charity.

The event brought together colleagues for an evening of friendly competition and fundraising in support of our two chosen charities and worthy causes: Prostrate Cancer UK and Destination Florida Children’s Charity.

Showcasing the diversity of our growing Hinkley Point C team, Waldeck India took on Waldeck Rest of the World in a match that celebrated both our international culture and the strong team spirit within our business.

Our Nuclear New Build Director, Richard Sargent, shared ahead of the event:

“The Waldeck HPC team is a community of people from all different backgrounds and nationalities. We wanted to celebrate this by hosting a Waldeck India vs Waldeck Rest of the World cricket match. We brought our team and clients together for a fantastic evening of fun, friendly competition, and fundraising. Most importantly, we raised money for two truly worthy causes — Prostate Cancer UK and Destination Florida Children’s Charity.”

The match was a fantastic success, with plenty of action on the field and even more generosity off it. In total, £2,324 was raised, which will be split equally between Prostate Cancer UK and Destination Florida Children’s Charity.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us, whether playing, cheering from the sidelines, or donating, for making this such a memorable and meaningful event.
