Legislation and the importance of the environment and sustainability continues to grow and as a result, is imposing ever more exacting requirements on owners and developers to take in to consideration for their assets. We have responded to this challenge by investing in the right resources, putting together a team of sustainability experts who are an integral part of our wider, multi-disciplinary design service.
Our team of highly qualified sustainability designers and accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessors contribute to the design process at every stage of a project. All of our design engineers are highly proficient in the ‘life cycle assessment’ of building services design, ensuring that the end result is the optimal solution for our clients’.
We have in-house CIBSE Level 5 accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessors, who are expert in the use of TAS and IES virtual environment Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) software, which combined with our considerable experience in renewable and sustainable energy solutions, allows us to carry out dynamic simulations of a proposed project.
We specialise in utilisation of this software to create detailed reporting on the design performance of systems. Our simulations are carried out in accordance with CIBSE and other good practice recommendations to provide information to achieve compliance with Part L Building Regulations, relevant BREEAM criteria, CFSH, SAP, PassivHaus and any local planning requirements, where applicable.
Our thorough understanding of the planning system and the procedural & technical aspects of environmental impact assessment, ensures that we provide well-informed and trusted advice with the best interests of the client at the forefront of our thinking.
Our credentials in low carbon and sustainability are further enhanced by our civil engineers, who have considerable experience co-ordinating the entire design process from inception to completion, providing certainty in the delivery of a successful project.
